The current version is v.0.84.
- SRT subtitle encoding auto detection (experimental). Basically, you should change encoding setting to "Auto/UTF-8" and it should work.
- Resume playback for MKV movies. Finally, Revue supports seeking over MKV, so I can enable this.
- Seeking to 0% - 90% of a movie using 0 - 9 keys. Easy movie seeking with numeric keys on your GTV keyboard.
- UPnP network failure detection. If you forget to connect your GTV to a LAN, GTVBox will warn you.
- Open URL feature in the Options menu. To open some HTTP URL use Options -> Open URL.
- Improved mouse navigation over file lists. Left Navigation Bar worked rather stupid when you tried to navigate with mouse insteand of D-Pad. Now, I works better. I still recommend using D-Pad, it is much faster.
- Fixes. Fixed some issues with AVI over SMB. Fixed various reported app crashes.
Android 3.2 is required! I understand, that some of you did not receive this new update for the Revue. You can still install and use version 0.82.

Updated the Revue to Android 3.2 and the GTVBox app to v.0.84 then tested the old XVid video file with DIVX FOURCC and now it works. Happy Camper here.

I show GTVBox in my video review of the new 2nd gen google TV. http://youtu.be/93TBoNFaBhkAlso, I noticed that one of my SMB shares stopped working (the other share is fine) for no reason. Could it be the new version? Edit: nevermind, must have been password

I doubt that it could be connected with the latest version. I did not change anything at that side.

It was a permission issue. I retyped password and it started working again.

I haven't had much of a chance to use GTVBox, but I was able to play mkv video from HDD connected to USB port on Linksys Router. I do have a few suggestions as nice to have..... - It would be good to make the GTVBox logo (top left corner of screen) to show drop down menu/options if clicked on. Options in that menu should be : + Recent/History - When clicked, this should show Recent\history of media\directories locations recently visited. Along with this, in the normal preferences screen you should have the number locations that should be kept as History. + Exit - This option is obvious. To allow user to exit/Terminate GTVBox at any point in the app without first having to go back to "Home" and exit. - I have been using GTVBox to stream videos from the IceStreams 1.2.1 App. It works, but not always, sometimes the App will just crash, or the video will keep freezing. Part of it could be to do with Internet bandwidth, but also possibly the way the app is caches the video. So if you could possibly look into to see if there is anything you can do to make the streaming from this app more efficient. If you can improve this I can assure you this app will become even more popular. You can get the Ice Streams app from here -> http://slideme.org/application/ice-streamSome interesting info here -> http://forum.icefilms.info/viewtopic.ph ... 0&start=45

As for IceStream, it could not be stable on free rapidshare accounts, because they do not allow seeking after connection failures. If you will use paid rapidshare account, you could stream in seekable mode which is very stable.

I'm not a premium subscriber of Rapidshare (or any other hosting sites) and from the IceFilms site other hosting sites such as 180uploads, vidhogs, ShareBees, 2shared are more popular. Any way you could optimize streaming through those hosts?
