I have about 10 - SBS 3D MKVs (Side-By-Side) GTVBox plays them as normal videos... When the TV is set to 3D SBS, it plays them file flawlessly. I have a Revue so skipping doesnt' work very well, (not a 3D issue, but a MKV issue) but everything else works great.. be sure to turn off subtitles since they don't convert. Thanks for confirming. Currently I'm using WDTV Live to stream Media and its a great little media player that plays virtually everything. I will go ahead and purchase GTVBox app as a back up media player and to support mcd2000 as a developer for all the great work he putting into developing and supporting the app. Thanks again !

Yeah the wwdt is great when you put different firmware. Also was mistaken about having to keep it powered on. Seems to stay connected to the network either way. since the revue doesn't play dts I need to use thewdtv event now and again anyway.

GTVBox Video Player v.0.8 is released! It has slightly improved design of playback screen. It now has mouse controlled buttons for Play/Pause, seeking back/forward and also controlling audio track and subtitles. More coming soon. It also shows some logos for video/audio format being played (like H.264 or DTS). There are serious playback improvements: Sony users can now seek forward over an MKV file and subtitles will still be available. Also, MKV parser is now faster and more stable. There are known problems on Google TV with DIVX/DX50 FOURCC not being supported in AVI files. GTVBox is fixing that. So, some AVI files that you were not able to play on your GTV should work now. SMB streaming looks like to be a main feature of GTVBox since the beginning. Now, it is also little more stable while streaming. Bonus: clock at the top can be switched 12/24 hours mode in the settings. Many bugs fixed, some new bugs may be introduced. If you have something broken from this version, please write me to contact@gtvbox.net as soon as possible!

Thanks for the responsiveness and quick fix. Another question: is it possible to select the audio track in an .mkv video. I downloaded a Blu-Ray copy of A New Hope. In addition to the normal audio it has Chinese dubs. In VLC it's easy to select the correct audio track. But on the TV, (in your app and the stock Sony one) it defaults to the last audio track, which in this case is Chinese. Is it possible to select the other audio? If not, feature request? In the absence of making it selectable, I think defaulting to the first audio track would make more sense, since those tend to be the highest quality on videos with multiple audio tracks.

Does anyone have any tips on how to re-encode the audio? (using Arch Linux)
