if if we can buy a usb tuner and usb harddrive, we could turn the gtv into a dvr. but we w old have to write drivers for the tuner, is there an open source tuner hardware platform out there? like openrouter.
also the yellow/triangle, blue/square and red/circle buttons from my cable remote are not emulated on the gtv remote, can this be fixed? there are those 4 colored button on the remote that are not used.

Hi -- what did you change in the .zip to make the GTV accept the exploitable firmware? I was first getting data is old so i changed the date but now i get a data error. thanks for your help!

I just tried rooting my new NSZ-GT1 and bricked it. Pretty sure I failed at step #9 - Press 0 (after using USB3). Instead pressing 0, I flipped the power off and tried entering recovery mode. Dead as a door nail.

Tried restoring using the latest exploitable USB file - nope. Again, no response. He's dead Jim.

@Xenofex, I think I need your services. I tried PM-ing you, but the forum told me that I couldn't use the feature until I participated more.

Hi everyone. I just bought the bluray player from the store and its version number is 2.1 How do i get it to the 3.2 version where I can do this hack? Thanks!

has anyone figured out a way to remove the root? i cant seem to find the OTA that needs to be installed to remove it; thanks!

i checked sony's website and there is nothing there :(
