Have you tried the orientation control apk, and try switching between landscape and portrait mode.

I believe there is a forced orientation on Sony GTVs. I may be wrong, but since there is no orientation sensor, it makes sense. I think I can wait for these particular apps to be flagged for use with GTV. Just a fear based reaction, I am sure, due to almost having to reformat to factory when one of the apps kept me in a loop of FCs today. I had to revert back to the built-in Home launcher for awhile. That wasn't so bad as I had the chance to customize that home screen with my widgets, etc.
