Update: So, thanks for the suggestions. I will switch to using the right vs. left USB port when I return home.

I am also nervous that I may have bricked my Revue. It will not go passed the Revue logo anymore. I'm leaving it unplugged for a few hours to see if that helps. Any suggestions?

keep trying to access recovery mode.

hulu workaround still crashes after 5-10min.

can't get superuser permission to work. terminal emulator fc's. root explorer can't obtain root.
and from what i can see...logitech can still push an update to us so if there is root in this build...the time to stop them from updating would be now. no telling what the official update will have inside of it.

So, yeah. I've been trying for 30 minutes. No luck getting passed the Revue Logo. Anyone else think my case is hopeless?

i dunno if you guys are aware...but after the 3.1 beta... there is a new way to access recovery. you need to press the connect button on the back of the revue 1 second after you turn on the device...then press alt l at the next screen. hopefully this helps. keep trying. i know people have gotten it to work after a power failure.

zeno, if your still watching... you said in the op that software root was in this build but i am unable to set superuser permissions. is it the version of super user i'm using or is it adb root only? i understand that the important stuff like /system and the kernel are still signed.

Why are you holding down Alt + L? You press it once and then it should clear /data, /cache, etc... Then it will bring you to the recovery menu. Make sure your flash drive is in the slot on the right, if you are facing the front your device, and calling it update.zip actually doesn't matter in this case. When I pressed install update from USB, it gave me a list of the file structure and asked me to choose the file to use. Let me know if that works out for you, I know that personally if I pressed Alt+L twice it would stop working and reboot. So make sure that you only press it once and be patient.

Good luck!

The loader only seems to get to the clear/data/cache IF I hold down the alt-l key but then reboots. Even tried doing it from a USB keyboard which seemed to have better luck than from wireless mouse. I have not tried using a different flash drive. I've tried under both names and still nothing.

You guys are remembering to rename the file to 'update.zip' right?

ah ha.....apparently using a different flash drive was the key. By putting it on a different one it took the update. Fingers crossed that this works. Will update if not the case.\\

edit***sentinel not found...whats that mean?
