Exciting, but I didn't see any mention of the Co-Star. Any word on progress with root? I haven't seen much mention of root for Co-Star at all.

This custom recovery (with a few tweaks) should work on the Co-Star fine. It's just easier for me to develop on a Sony, as that's the box that I have wired up to a flash programmer to fix bricks!

This is great news and congrats!
Will this unlock all Apps for GTV so users don't have to side load any longer?
Can a Canadian Postal Code be allowed to be entered into the Location in Settings ie: B4N1M2? Currently GTV only accepts 5 digit Zip Codes. It is thought that enabling a 6 digit number/letter combo field entry will bring the Primetime App to Canada!

Gonna take more than that to make primetime work outside US. How do you know Google is even keeping any Canadian channels in their database?

I can get i.TV to bring up my Canadian provider listings just fine on their web site. Since it has already been established that this is where Google get's it's Primetime listings it stands to reason that this is really all it would take for Canada to be added. The fix will not be as easy for users in other countries. Efferz on another popular GTV forum figured this out a while ago.
