Are you SURE this worked well before?
I see that in general it seek well (on my Sony Blu-ray), but sometimes it freezes. But this happens also with other players, not only with GTVBox.

Like I said, I did not try playing those same specific .avi files with 0.81. I only play movies once and usually delete them afterwards. I noticed that 0.82 fails to open the .avi file with the mediainfo details below. I also just tested this file with the aVia player using DLNA and it works fine. Is it possible for me to get a hold of the 0.81 .apk? This way I can uninstall 0.82 and test with 0.81. I also tested the files that had issues with FF & RW with aVia and instead of fast forwarding or rewinding the movie the player selects the next or previous movie in the list when I press the keys. So there might be something funny about those files. I will refrain from FF or RW when I play them. Btw, your player is ages ahead of this aVia thing... you get pretty icons, but indexing DLNA and actually playing the movie that you select is a crap shoot.

Hm. The problem with this file is that it has XVid video with DIVX FOURCC. I such cases, GTVBox v. 0.80+ usually changes the FOURCC. Maybe that can be a problem.
You should test the file with v.0.70.
If you write me mail to contact@gtvbox.net. I'll try to find this old build for you.

I tried the file using v0.7.0 on my Revue and it worked fine with the DIVX FOURCC file. I also visited a friend over the weekend that also has a Revue. He was running v0.80 and this file worked fine on his Revue. We then updated GTVBox to v0.82, try to play the same file and it fail to play. Btw, the file plays fine with the Logitech Media Player.

Try to change extension to something other then AVI or DIVX.

It's ok... is not critical. I just wanted to let you know that those specific files were not working with your player. I'm back to v0.82. I was able to watch the movie using the Logitech Player, so I currently have no need for a fix. Maybe in a future update you'll incorporate support those files. Thanks for your help.

Actually, I asked this as a teat case to make sure that I know the problem. :-) So, I can fix it.
If something works in LMP and does not in gtvbox.... Well, this sucks.:-)

You can try reversing some of the updates that you made from v0.80 to v0.82 until you find the change that caused the problem with the DIVX 4 files. I'm still a loyal client. My primary player is still GTVBox because I mostly use SMB shares. I hate the complexity that DLNA (indexing) adds to the media players.

Hello I bought the GTVBox for Google TV (Logitech Revue) and when I open it, I scan for uPnP, it finds my uPnP server, and then I click it and Browse Folders and nothing happens... the circle just spins and spins and spins and nothing is found. It works perfectly fine with my Logitech Media Player however. What could be the problem???

Thanks

Chris

Skipping seems to work with MKV files on the Review with the Google 3.2 upgrade and GTVBox latest version!

I don't know if it is due to the Google upgrade or the latest GTVBox version, but I tested on a few MKV files and I can FF to the end of files now.
Before it would hang for a few minutes while it would catch up. Now it works like I'd expect it to work. :D

This not only one playback improvement in 3.2 update. I'll make an overview after some more tests.

Also, since the next update GTVBox will require 3.2 OS to run. So, I suggest all users to upgrade OS on Revues.
